I’ve been hurt countless times and it’s usually very painful if it’s from family members.
But you know, we live in a fallen world and as long as we’re here offenses will come!
I usually preferred being the one hurt, I could bear the pain as long as every other person was fine.
I was wounded, sometimes it felt as if my heart was going to explode. It was so painful and I would cry my eyes out and wet my pillows.
I always turn to God to help me forgive those who have hurt me and still be able to pay them good despite how badly they treated me. I’m gradually learning to speak up and let people know how they’ve hurt me, I’m not there yet but I’m making progress.
If you’re like me, please learn to communicate in love to those who have hurt you and always trust God to help you forgive them no matter the depth of offense. Remember forgiveness is most important to you than the one who hurt you, it will help your heart.
We were as well forgiven and therefore we can learn to forgive others also even though it’s usually not so easy. We can lean on God and take one step at a time towards forgiveness
Matthew 6:14-15
14 For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.
